H M S Edinburgh
In November 2003 the Company formally became affiliated to HMS Edinburgh, a Type 42 Destroyer. Built by Cammell Laird Shipbuilders at Birkenhead, her keel was laid down in July 1980 and she was launched on 14th April, 1983. HMS Edinburgh is one of the "stretched" Type 42 Destroyers measuring 139 metres from bow to stern and with a beam of 15.2 metres. She has a complement of some 26 officers and 260 other crew.
The Company has instituted an Efficiency Award which is presented each term to that member of the crew who, in the opinion of the Commanding Officer, has contributed most to the running of the ship.

The Sharpshooters
In the tradition of the livery movement, the Company has for many years been associated with two Suadrons of the Sharpshooters Yeomanry, C (Kent & Sharpshooters Yeomanry) Squadron based in Croydon and 265 (KCLY) Support Squadron based in Bexleyheath.
An annual shooting competition takes place between the Squadrons (subject to their being in the UK) for which the Company awards a silver salver to the winning Squadron and tankards to the participants in the winning team.
