Welcome to The Worshipful Company of Insurers

Who says business and philanthropic endeavour don’t mix? As a relatively youthful Livery Company – awarded Livery status in 1979 – our passion is to promote and develop excellence within the insurance industry, while working with the wider community through charitable and educational support. We also provide a unique and colourful environment outside the daily routine of corporate life for insurance professionals (and their families) to meet, network and socialise. Thinking of applying to become a member, or just want to find out more about our work? Use the links above, or contact us for more information.

Who we are

Founded in 1979, we are located at The Insurance Hall, 20 Aldermanbury and now have over 400 members drawn from across the insurance industry.

One of our most important roles is our charitable work and the support and recognition we give to education and achievements of excellence in the insurance industry.

For insurance Non-Executive Directors

The principal aim of our iNED Forums is to enhance the professional development of insurance Non-executive Directors (iNEDs) across the UK insurance industry.

The iNED Forums will comprise educational presentations, platforms for the exchange of ideas and opportunities for networking.

Why not join us?

Membership of The Worshipful Company of Insurers – effectively a pan-industry body for the individual – can be a rewarding, enjoyable and career enhancing experience. It’s a rare opportunity to step outside the daily routine of corporate life to meet professionally and socially with your industry peers in a unique environment.
