Since its inception in 2014, Reflections of The Lord Mayor has offered unique insights as former Lord Mayors reminisce about their tenure. For 2024  Alderman Nicholas Lyons, the 694th Lord Mayor of London (2022-23) and and a member of the WCI, will share his compelling journey. Hosted in the august surroundings of Haberdashers’ Hall, it promises to be an evening of profound reflections and inspiring visions for the future.

ImageDuring his tenure as the 694th Lord Mayor of London in 2022-23, Alderman Nicholas Lyons championed the theme “Financing our Future,” focusing on fostering sustainable economic growth and financial inclusivity. His leadership aimed at promoting London and the UK as global centres for green and sustainable finance while emphasising the importance of financial literacy and inclusion. Lyons’s mayoral year was marked by a commitment to driving growth, innovation, and competitiveness in the financial sector, making significant strides towards a more resilient and inclusive economy.

Despite Reflections being a non-profit endeavour, we are proud to announce that, inspired by Alderman Lyons’s commitment to education and inclusivity, we will be making a modest donation from the evening’s proceeds to National Numeracy, a cause close to his heart and the chosen beneficiary of the evening. This gesture underscores our shared belief in the power of education to transform lives.
