Planning the return to in-person events

The Master, together with the Wardens and Clerk, have been planning the return to in-person events as the Covid-19 restrictions are eased.

Our last Livery event was on 4 March 2020 when members and guests joined then Master Rosemary Beaver at the Winter Lunch. Since then, all our events have been virtual, including Common Hall last October when David Sales was installed as Master.

The first event we hope members will be able to attend, subject to the appropriate easing of the remaining public health measures, will be the Master's Summer BBQ at the National Liberal Club on Wednesday 4 August - see full details and booking information.

Before then a small group of members will be joining the Master at the Clay Pigeon Shooting at the Fennes Shooting School on 17 June (this event is fully subscribed).

"I am delighted that it looks as if we soon be able to welcome members back to in-person events", said Master David Sales.

"Obviously, there are still some uncertainties as we are by no means out of the public health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic but we feel confident to start planning the return. It will be a particular pleasure for me in my year as Master to at last be able meet members in person. It will also be an opportunity to welcome those who have joined the Livery over the last year.

"Looking forward to the autumn, we are hoping that Common Hall on 13 October will be attended by members, followed by the Installation Dinner on 3 November."

The Company is still running a wide range of virtual events, details of which can be found on the events page.

"I would like to thank all of those who have made such a fantastic effort to ensure the Company has remained engaged with members over the last 16 months. We have put on a wide-ranging programme of virtual events, both educational and social, that have been well supported by members", said the Master.
