Join the Lady Mayor and step into the heart of Christmas with an unforgettable reading of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic A Christmas Carol - brought to life by two of his direct descendants, Mark Dickens, great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens, together with his son Oliver Dickens, an accomplished actor and great-great-great-grandson of the iconic author. Their remarkable connection to Dickens’ legacy - combined with their rich understanding of his work - promises an authentic, captivating and truly magical performance of this beloved Christmas tale.

Following the performance in Lloyd's, the celebration will continue at the Royal Exchange, where guests will gather by the magnificent Christmas tree on the iconic main steps.

Enjoy a warm, festive atmosphere filled with traditional carol singing - an uplifting blend of familiar favourites and treasured classics. With mince pies in hand and voices joining together, this joyful finale offers a truly Dickensian sense of community and Christmas spirit.
