Book NowLondon Phoenix Orchestra opens its 2025-26 season with one of the great 19th century symphonies, Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony.
It is dominated throughout by the recurrence of its opening fanfare, a metaphor for “the fatal power which prevents one from attaining the goal of happiness.” Despite this gloomy outlook, the ultimate mood is of triumph over adversity.
The orchestra will also joined by young violinist Alma Vink for Saint-Saëns’ elegant and sparkling 3rd Violin Concerto. Verdi’s dramatic overture to the opera Nabucco completes the programme.
Make a note of the dates for the rest of the orchestra's 2025-26 season.
