Private visit to the Tower of London

We have the opportunity of a private visit to the Tower of London, including the historic Ceremony of the Keys.

This event is for members only and is free of charge 

We will have a tour, attend the Ceremony of the Keys – which has happened daily for the last 700 years – and then relax in the Yeoman Warders’ own private bar.

• The tour has been organised by Court Assitant Branko Bjelobaba with Yeoman Warder Ryan Barnett. Ryan was appointed one of the 35 historic warders in 2023 having spent nearly 26 years in the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineer. The role of Yeoman Warder, often known by the nickname ‘Beefeater’, originates from the band of warders who guarded the Tower and its prisoners from the reign of William the Conqueror. The Yeoman Warders as they exist today were created in 1485 by Henry VII as an extension of his personal protection, and day continue to hold a traditional ceremonial role as Extraordinary Members of The King’s Bodyguard. Today they help to bring the Tower’s history alive for millions of visitors each year, sharing stories, carrying out ceremonial duties and leading tours. Applicants must have served at least 22 years in the armed forces, hold the Long Service and Good Conduct medal, and have reached the rank of Warrant Officer, or equivalent, before being selected for interview and a rigorous selection process.
